Suggestions for what to do when leaving or ending a small group

1. Don’t under-estimate how hard changing/leaving groups can be. There are many good reasons to do so, but that doesn’t make it easy.
2. Share with the group what has been life-giving for you in the group
3. Say “thank you” for the people and the things you have appreciated
4. Be honest and clear about reasons for leaving
5. Acknowledge that saying “good bye” always involves loss
6. Your group might want to utilize a ritual of some sort to mark the ending.
